Tim Henwood

Tim was admitted as a South African attorney in 1985. Having practiced as an attorney for more than ten years, he worked in the regulated financial services industry and after taking up residence in the Isle of Man was also a registered legal practitioner in the Isle of Man.

Tim is also a Trust and Estate Practitioner and member of STEP. Tim was called to the Bar in 2016 as an Isle of Man Advocate.

Tim is responsible for the Trusts, Estates and Probate department focusing on advising clients, drafting and implementing the requisite documents, structures and planning requirements and managing the trusts and estates for our clients.

Tim is also involved in dealing with contentious matters in this area of practice and in respect of trustee and protector roles. He also works in the field of mental capacity particularly with respect to enduring powers of attorney and receivership matters.

In November 2021 Tim was sworn in at the Isle of Man Courts as a Notary Public – an officer appointed by the Isle of Man Court who has international expertise and is well placed to certify documents for use in other jurisdictions. Tim is on hand to verify or prove document authenticity for the purposes of foreign courts, registries, public authorities or other notaries.
