It is a document which will set out all assets, income etc. that is held by both parties, whether that be jointly or individually and how they will be divided up in the event of a marriage break-down.

Whilst initially a tool for high-net worth couples, in modern times all couple should potentially consider making one prior to getting married. If this is something you wish to consider our Family Law Team will be happy to help you.
