Class 6 | Crowd-Funding Platforms
The operator of loan-based crowd‐funding services including:
- (a) The operation of an electronic platform in relation to lending in which the operator of the electronic platform facilitates persons to become lenders and borrowers; and
(b) The administration of crowd-funded lending, including the transfer of repayment funds from borrower to lender and debt collection, and
- Operating investment-based crowd‐funding services, which means the operation of an electronic platform in relation to arranging deals in investments in which the operator of the electronic platform facilitates persons to become issuers of investments or direct investors,
On the Isle of Man, crowd‐funding is required to hold a Class 6 licence under The Regulated Activities Order 2011 (amended to 2019)
