Application Requirements

We work closely with you from intial beginnings looking at the application requirements through to company formation, relocation and development, continuing our relationship throughout the growth of your company to ensure you remain effective and professional.

The elements that are required for a licence application are listed below along with a description of the checks carried out by the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission to ensure the safety and reputation of the Island. Application requirements may also result in additional business checks, which may also be carried out at the Commission’s discretion, including those that refer applicant information to trusted third parties.

Applicants must be an Isle of Man registered company with a minimum of two on-Island directors and a nominated on-Island Responsible Person. One of the on-Island directors may be appointed to the role as the Responsible Person, or another individual who lives in the Isle of Man may be appointed.

For an application to be accepted and processed, the following criteria must be met:

• The application must be complete
• All required supporting information must be included

If your application fails to be accepted, for example because it is incomplete or missing key information, then the Commission will explain the reasons for not processing the application at that time. We can resubmit the application once all application requirements have been met, along with full supporting documentation and any omissions have been addressed. Having an application declined is an informal process and does not impact the process going forward or reflected in the Commission’s records.

There is no fee requirement to the Commission for submitting an application, and to ensure fair treatment of all submissions the Commission will only progress applications that are complete and clearly evidence the acceptance criteria.

Applications can be submitted by ourselves on your behalf as either your legal advisor, and/or your corporate service provider, or directly from yourself as the registered business.
