Miles Benham

Miles is the Managing Director of MannBenham and one of the most experienced business lawyers in the Isle of Man. He co-founded MannBenham in 1997 as a niche commercial law practice but has successfully overseen its expansion into a full-service business law firm. With a varied practice, Miles advises a range of public and private companies, banks, trust and corporate service providers, high net worth individuals and professional firms.

He has been appointed as a Court appointed liquidator by the Isle of Man High Court and is the co-author of the Isle of Man chapter of ‘The International Insolvency Review’.

Miles has played a key role in the evolution of the online gaming and blockchain industries on the Isle of Man for over 20 years, advising e-businesses, internet companies, and some of the world’s largest land based and internet gambling organisations.

Miles is also on the board of the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce, is a member of the British Blockchain Association (BBA), the first UK-wide organisation to encourage and facilitate the adoption of blockchain technology across public, private and third sectors, and was one of the founders and the legal adviser to the Manx Digital Currency Association.

Miles was admitted to the Manx Bar in 1996 and is an English Solicitor, Notary Public, and a Commissioner for Oaths. Miles is also a director and secretary of the Isle of Man Chamber of Commerce. Miles has been recognised by the Legal 500 as a ‘Recommended Lawyer‘ for corporate and commercial matters.
