Carly Stratton is a Director and Head of Commercial & Technology at MannBenham Advocates and a Director of Manavia Limited. She advises businesses, investors and entrepreneurs on a broad range of commercial, corporate and regulatory matters, with particular expertise in technology, digital business, data governance and strategic growth.
With more than 15 years’ experience as an Isle of Man Advocate, Carly acts for clients ranging from early-stage ventures and high-growth businesses to multinational organisations, financial institutions and private investors. Her practice encompasses commercial and technology law, corporate transactions, governance, intellectual property, regulatory advisory and cross-border business operations.
Known for her practical and commercially focused approach, Carly works closely with clients to help them navigate complex legal and regulatory environments while supporting innovation, growth and long-term value creation. She regularly advises on business structuring, commercial agreements, corporate governance, strategic transactions and technology-driven projects.
Carly has been closely involved in the development of the Isle of Man’s pioneering Data Asset Foundation framework, advising on the legal structures, governance arrangements and supporting documentation underpinning the initiative. Developed through collaboration between government, industry and professional stakeholders, the framework provides an innovative model for the governance and commercialisation of data assets and continues to attract international interest.

She is a member of the Institute of Directors and is widely recognised for combining legal expertise with commercial insight to deliver practical solutions for businesses operating in dynamic and evolving markets.
