At MannBenham we know a thing or two about business and we want to give businesses on the island an opportunity to find out about some of the key areas we often touch upon.

Over the course of ten fortnightly breakfast sessions we will be talking on subjects such as the importance of creating and maintaining a social media presence, insolvency, and way happens if your business is in trouble and what to look out for when taking on a business partner.

The ‘Business Bites’ start off later this month, on 22 January, with marketing experts talking about ‘Big Fish in Little Ponds’ which focuses on creating a social media presence and why social media is extremely important for successful business-marketing. The talks will be held in Douglas at the Eagle Lab on Victoria Street and are open to everyone, to not only highlight and discuss issues that affect island-businesses but to also create networking opportunities and showcase the great facilities at the Eagle Lab. Each breakfast session will start at 8:00am with drinks and croissants, followed by a twenty-minute presentation concluded with a question and answer session.

Miles Benham commented, “As one of the leading legal practices on the island we are delighted to be putting on this series of short talks across the first half of this year. Our idea is to make them as accessible as possible to everyone, so have put them at the beginning of the day before many start work and are free of charge. To get the full benefit of these quick-fire Business Bites we want to encourage as much participation as possible so that everyone receives the full benefit of our speakers and their experience.

We have a full agenda up until the TT at the end of May, so please keep an eye out for the next event in February on ‘debt collection, and how to sue without a lawyer and the enforcement of judgments’ – we look forward to seeing you there, everyone is more than welcome to come along.”
